To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the grand ceremony, military parade and mass pageantry were held at Tian’anmen Square on Oct 1, 2019. All the teachers and students of Chengxian College watched the ceremony through various ways. They were determined to understand and learn the spirit of the important speech delivered by Xi Jinping at the 70th anniversary ceremony of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
On September 27, 2019, Chengxian College Party Committee issued the document “Notice on the Organization to Watch and Listen to the 70th Anniversary Ceremony of the Founding of the People's Republic of China”, requiring all the units of the college to organize teachers and students to watch the alive streaming of the conference through TV or other media; Moreover, all the party members, teachers and students were required to study and discuss the spirit of the speeches of the conference in conjunction with the educational theme of “Remaining True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind”. On the eve of the National Day, the party committee of the University released a detailed plan of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China to the whole university, calling its faculty to carry out the educational publicity and activities under the guidance of the theme of “I and My Motherland”.
All units of Chengxian College arranged the campus activities actively. At the same time, under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, Chengxian College has carried out various activities such as the educational activities of “Taken a Picture with the National Flag” “Making a Pledge under the National Flag”, “National Flag Raising Ceremony” and so on.
